Gravel Abrasions from Motorcycle Accident

The following photos are courtesy of Dr. Dan C. Dean. This is a gravel abrasion obtained by a young man in a motorcycle accident. The area was cleaned, debrided and only pure emu oil was applied with an occlusive dressing.

And the lesion 3 weeks later.  Note:  This abrasion would normally have taken 4 to 6 weeks to heal, but as can be seen from the photographs, this young man had almost complete healing in three weeks.
